Ignite is our youth group for Yrs 7-13 at B&A church. Our vision is to ‘blaze brightly for Jesus in our church, community and city’ and we seek to realise this vision in 5 ways:

  1. Ignite Sundays

  2. Ignite Fridays

  3. Ignite Socials

  4. Ignite Discipleship

  5. Ignite Prayer

Ignite Sundays

On Sunday mornings Ignite join the rest of the church family for worship at 10:30am @ B&A St Andrews Park. After worship we gather as a group in our youth room for hot choc, chats and games followed by a short talk, discussion and response time. We see Sundays as the place for us to ‘fan into flame’ our faith and love for Jesus (2 Tim 1:6) by going deeper into what the Bible says about being a follower of Jesus and how we can live this out in our day to day lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ignite Fridays

We also run Ignite Club Night on Fridays for Yrs 7-9 fortnightly at B&A Gloucester Road from 7:45pm-9:15pm. This is a fun, safe space where young people can come and feel like they belong. It’s a great place to bring friends along too and to form new friendships. There’s normally a short talk,  big team game/sport, tuck shop, craft activity and an opportunity to find out more about what following Jesus is all about. Our theme for Ignite this term is ‘Encounter’.

  • Friday 11th Jan

  • Friday 25th Jan

  • Friday 8th Feb - Club Night Plus*

  • Friday 1st March

  • Friday 15th March

  • Friday 29th March

*Club Night Plus is run like a normal club night but with time for worship and deeper discussions

Ignite Socials

Ignite Socials are regular termly events that we run for the whole of Ignite. Dates for your diary this term:

Ignite Discipleship

We are also developing Ignite Discipleship where our young people can experience more individualised/tailored support in their faith journeys from an Ignite Team member. This may look like a one to one meeting or as simple as space for conversations within Ignite Fridays and Sundays or socials. To find out more contact Sim Bonnici: sim@babristol.org

Ignite Prayer

One of the most important parts of Ignite is prayer. At the moment we are developing an Ignite Prayer Team who commit to pray regularly for our young people, events and team. If you’d like to be involved in this please get in contact on: ignite@babristol.org

We want to make sure that everyone, whatever their age, is safe at B&A.
