We would love to get to know you at B&A so we encourage you to get in touch so we can say hello and help you connect. If you would like to know more about us as a church family here are a few of the commonly asked questions. If the answer you’re looking for isn’t here, please send us a message.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is the church?

We are located on Maurice Road, Bristol BS6 5BZ

What time does church start?

Our Sunday gatherings are at 10.30am (10am for refreshments)

Where can I park?

There isn’t a car park but you’ll find free on-street public spaces within the vicinity of the church building, around the parameter of St Andrews Park. There are also security bars for bicycle storage.

What should I expect on a Sunday?

We gather on a Sunday to hang out and spend time worshipping God, reading the Bible, listening to a relevant talk and sharing some stories together. Coming along to a gathering for the first time can be a daunting experience but having an idea about what to expect can make it easier:

  • Someone will say hello, welcome you in and help you settle in

  • Kids Church and Youth will be invited to their groups in other parts of the building

  • Someone will share some news about what’s going in in the church

  • Our band will play some songs of worship

  • Someone will share a talk and you will hear about what God is doing in and through us

  • There will be time to respond in prayer and reflection

  • The service lasts about 75 minutes. You’ll be welcome to stick around afterwards for a chat, find out more about us and meet some of the church family

You are very welcome to just come in and engage as much as you like.

What’s going on during the week?

We have a wide range of activities and courses that reach beyond Sundays. During the week we get together in smaller groups (called Little Churches) where we eat, hang out and generally “do life” together. The heart of each Little Church is to invest in one another – to create an environment that’s relevant and accessible and in doing so deepen our faith, connect with God and put church in touching distance of people’s lives. For more information about Little Churches see our Communities page and for other information about the life of the church see What’s On.

Where is the church office?

The church office is located at a separate site - 160A Gloucester Road, Bristol BS7 8NT. The office is open between 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday and you are welcome to pop in during those times to meet the team.

Do you have any events for newcomers?

The best way to get to know us is to try a Little Church out. We can help you find one that suits you and will help you find out more about Jesus. We also invite people to welcome events with the church leadership where you can find out more about B&A and how you can join in the life of our church.

How can my kids get involved?

On Sundays we have a comprehensive Kids Church and Youth programme. You can register your children before the gathering and our kids and youth teams will be there to answer any questions. There is also a dedicated space with toys for parents with babies to sit in the main worship area.

During the week we have other activities going on for kids and youth. For more information see Families.

Who do I contact to find out more information about the church?

If you’d like to chat to one of the team please contact the church office. We look forward to hearing from you
