#getready

This week we've been getting ready for Christmas with three Carol events.

Pop-up Carols had to relocate from the centre of the park to B&A St Andrews Park at the last minute due to heavy rain. A lot of relieved faces emerged through the doors along with some wet apparel. The lights and the dry venue made for a more 'romantic' setting. After some readings and carols Adam Smith spoke about getting ready for Christmas.

On Saturday afternoon we had the second of our carol events, Afternoon Tea with Carols. Spread amongst the carols and readings were some beautiful solo items from Alexandra Stevenson and Simone Bonnici. Adam then encouraged us to think about where we place our hope at Christmas. The afternoon ended with the local scout group serving afternoon tea.

The next day we had a packed house for Family Carols. Tim Martin led the singing and the story telling with videos and readings. Adam then invited us to think about how the perfect Christmas is found in the perfect One who can perfect the rest of our years.

And so onto Christmas weekend!
