This week, Wendy continues our sermon series on The Holy Spirit, focusing on John 14:15-27. She invites us to explore the profound moment when Jesus prepares His disciples for His departure. In this passage, He assures them of a Helper—the Holy Spirit—who will remain with them, offering guidance and comfort. This promise of His abiding presence and peace is not just for the disciples of that time; it resonates with us today, reminding us that we are never alone in our journey.

What does it mean when Jesus says the promises of the Old Testament are fulfilled in Him? Paul helps us to understand both how to read the Old Testament in light of Jesus and to received the promises of Jesus for ourselves and share them with others.

How does God get our attention? This week, Wayne continued our series on the Holy Spirit by looking at Ezekiel 37 and its connection to prophecy in the New Testament. The message of renewal and God's breath of life in Ezekiel applies to us today, encouraging us to think about the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and how we can experience spiritual renewal now.

This week James continued our talk series on the Holy Spirit, leaning into the Power of God. Our reading was from Exodus 3:1-12 and James spoke on how to pray for God's purposes not our purposes and led us to ask ourselves the question "Do I want the power of God inside me?"

This week we started a new series on the Holy Spirit. Our reading was from Genesis 1 and Wayne spoke on what it really means when we pray Come Holy Spirit.

Ever wondered what Olympic Basketball, bikes and the church have in common? Over the summer we have been looking at what it means to be One Body: Jesus's Church. This week our reading was from Romans 12 and we looked at how we can belong together and use our gifts to serve the body.

In response to conversations in the Church of England about marriage and sex, James takes us on a journey through the gospels, looking at who met with Jesus and what Jesus had to say about marriage and sex.

This Sunday Wayne spoke from 2 Thessalonians 2 about the man of lawlessness. We can more fully trust God when we let Him put us in our place, when we let Him be in charge of history and when we choose to stand firm on His truth.

This Sunday Ro spoke from 2 Thessalonians 1 about the reality of Jesus's return and how we can truly love others and live a life worthy of His calling.

This Sunday Wendy looked at Paul's final instructions from 1 Thessalonians and led us through reflections on gratitude, being church family and the way we welcome the Holy Spirit in our lives. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it!

This week we continued in our series on Paul's letters to the Thessalonians. Charles spoke from 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 about the return of Jesus and how we can be ready.

If you had your freedom to gather at church taken away from you, what would it be like when it was given back? Would you be more radical in your pursuit of Jesus Christ?

Our reading this week was 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12. Wayne spoke about pursuing pleasing God, pursuing sexual purity and pursuing humility with our identity established in Jesus.

Life is hard… but God to the rescue! This Sunday our reading was from 1 Thessalonians 3:6-13. Denise talked about the battles and blessings that come when we say yes to Jesus, telling stories of her own transformative experiences of sharing her faith with her family and challenging us that God is often doing so much more than we can immediately see.

This Sunday Paul spoke from 1 Thessalonians 2:17 - 3:5 about living counter culturally. Through historical context from the early Thessalonian church and stories from his time in Burundi during the Rwandan genocide, we see just what community meant for the church then and why we still need it now.

Who do you live to please? This Sunday Wayne talked about how we can live a life that communicates the real faith that we looked at a couple of weeks ago.

This Sunday we welcomed James Aladiran, founder of Prayer Storm, to the Gathering at B&A. James spoke about receiving Jesus every day and how we can live under His governance as temples of His glory.

This is the first in our new series looking at Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians. Wayne talks us through chapter 1 of 1 Thessalonians and how real faith is really seen, it comes from real experience and it has to be really shared.

This Sunday, Paul landed our series on Bringing Bristol to Jesus by taking us on a walk along the road to Emmaus and encouraging us to make time to encounter Jesus and help our friends to do the same.

This week Wayne spoke about prayer and the Lord's prayer which Jesus taught his disciples. The story of our lives is begun in prayer and intimacy with the Father.
