• Focus is our annual church holiday — a long weekend where B&A heads away together to join thousands from across the HTB Network for worship, teaching, friendship, and fun. It’s a big church family festival and one of the highlights of our year.

  • Focus 2026 takes place from Thursday 23rd July to Sunday 26th July at Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire.

The programme begins on Thursday afternoon/evening and runs through to Sunday evening. Most people stay on site on Sunday night and then head home on Monday 27th July after packing down.

Full arrival details, timings, and site information are provided on the official Focus booking page.

  • Focus is for everyone — adults, families, children, youth, students, singles, couples, first-timers and long-timers. You don’t need to have been to Focus before, and you don’t need to be an “expert camper”.

If you’re part of B&A, this is for you.

  • Not at all. Many people come to Focus having never camped before.

We camp together, help each other pitch tents, and look out for one another. If you’re nervous, tell us — we’ll make sure you’re supported

  • Yes — unless you’re staying off-site or booking an upgraded accommodation option, you’ll need:

    • A tent

    • Sleeping bag / bedding

    • Basic camping essentials

If equipment is a barrier, please tell us. We may be able to help introduce you to someone who has spare kit.

  • Yes. We’ll be camping together as B&A, with a clear meeting point and communal space so you always know where your people are.

There will also be planned moments during the weekend when we gather specifically as B&A.

  • The site includes:

    • Toilets and hot showers

    • Drinking water points

    • Food vendors and cafés

    • Medical and accessibility support

It’s camping — but it’s very civilised camping.

  • Yes. Focus makes provision for accessibility needs, including accessible toilets and seating.

If you have specific needs, please let us know early so we can support you well.

    1. Book your Focus ticket via the official Focus website.

    2. During booking, make sure you select B&A as your church.

    3. Once you’ve booked, come back here to book your B&A Meal Pass (if you want one).

  • Your Focus ticket includes:

    • Access to all main sessions, worship, talks, and seminars

    • Full kids, youth, and student programmes

    • Camping space for the whole event

It doesn’t include food, travel, or camping equipment — those are organised separately.

  • Most of us will be camping on site together as B&A.

You’ll need to bring your own tent and sleeping gear unless you book an accommodation upgrade (like a pre-pitched or glamping tent) through Focus.

If camping isn’t possible for you, staying off-site is also an option.

  • No. The Meal Plan Ticket is completely optional.

    You’re welcome to:

    • Bring your own food

    • Cook for yourself

    • Buy food from the many food vendors on site

The Meal Plan Ticket is there to make Focus simpler, more communal, and lower-stress for those who want it.

  • We’d strongly encourage coming for the full event, as that’s where the real depth and community happens.

That said, if you genuinely can’t make all of it, you can still come — day tickets normal get released closer to the time.

  • You can:

    • Drive (parking is available on site)

    • Travel by train to Newark, then take a taxi or bus to the showground

At the moment, putting on a B&A coach isn’t financially viable. However, if this is something you’d be interested in for future years, please do let us know — gauging interest will help us plan better going forward.

  • Focus has excellent kids and youth programmes running alongside the main sessions:

    • Kids groups by age

    • Youth sessions and socials

    • Student / 18–30s programme

It’s one of the highlights of Focus for families.

  • If cost is a concern, please message us at focus@babristol.org.

    There are several options available:

    • Payment plans — available directly through the Focus ticket website

    • Serving on teams — we can’t encourage this enough. Even if cost isn’t an issue, there are a variety of ways to serve, and many roles come with a free or reduced ticket

    • Focus Central bursary support — details to follow

    • B&A bursary support — we have a very limited bursary fund for Focus 2026, which we plan to use to help with the additional costs of being at Focus, such as reduced or free B&A Meal Plan Tickets

We don’t want finances to be the reason someone misses Focus.

  • You can:

    • Speak to a member of the B&A team, your small group leaders or someone you know has gone before.

    • Email focus@babristol.org

    • Read the official Focus FAQs on their website

We’re very happy to help — no question is too small.
