The Big Give

The local church on a city-wide mission

Something special is happening. And we want to be ready.

At B&A Church, we’re seeing more people find connection, purpose and hope. Whether that’s on Sundays, through Kids & Youth, in community groups, or through B&A Meals which now delivers up to 1000 hot meals every week across the city — lives are being transformed.

To keep up this momentum and step confidently into 2026, we’re aiming to raise £100,000 in one-off gifts by 1st December.

Whether you’re part of B&A, or simply inspired by what you’ve seen — you can play your part.

FAQs

  • We are a thriving local church in the heart of Bishopston. We meet at 279 Gloucester Road every Sunday at 10.30am and 6.30pm, and throughout the week in the church and in homes around Bristol. We are called B&A because we are the combined parishes of Bishopston and St Andrews. Our heart is for the entire city of Bristol as we seek to bring the hope of Jesus to all those around us. Take a look around the website to see who we are and what we do. Reach out with any questions.

  • B&A meals started in 2022, as churches in Bristol opened Warm Welcome Spaces to those struggling with the cost of living crisis. At B&A we wanted to do something to help. We offered to do the cooking so that churches hosting welcome spaces could also provide a hot meal. We hired a professional chef and work in the kitchen got underway!

With the food sorted, churches could focus on the work of serving their communities.

B&A Meals are hot, nutritious meals designed to get people round a table to eat together. Our meals are ready to eat, and they’re free. Thanks to some generous funding, we can also deliver in an electric van!

We send out 1,000 plates of hot food each week to those in need. We partner with over 20 churches and warm spaces from Knowle West to Patchway and from Sea Mills to Hanham.

B&A Meals are completely free for those that need them.
