Christians have lost confidence in Genesis 1 with the rise of science and skepticism. This week James explains how we can rediscover confidence in Genesis.

A strong beginning is something to get excited about. In Autumn we have exciting new starts to look forward to in our individual lives, and at B&A. On Sundays we will be looking s at the book of Genesis, with that classic opening line: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

We live in a world where we're meant to show our best all the time. But what do we do with our worst? With the stuff we don't want anyone to see? We hide it away. Where it builds up. Psalm 102 shows us what God wants for all that stuff and to remember to bring it to Him.

On first reading Psalm 94 seems to be about God, the righteous and just judge, destroying the wicked. But as we understand more of God’s righteousness and justice, we also begin to realise the amazing extent of his love for each one of us.

Unity is a precious and beautiful gift from God, and yet seems like an impossible task, through Psalm 133 we look at how the Church, through being unified can reveal the person of Jesus.
