This week we continued in our series on Paul's letters to the Thessalonians. Charles spoke from 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 about the return of Jesus and how we can be ready.

Our reading this week was 1 Thessalonians 4:1-12. Wayne spoke about pursuing pleasing God, pursuing sexual purity and pursuing humility with our identity established in Jesus.

Life is hard… but God to the rescue! This Sunday our reading was from 1 Thessalonians 3:6-13. Denise talked about the battles and blessings that come when we say yes to Jesus, telling stories of her own transformative experiences of sharing her faith with her family and challenging us that God is often doing so much more than we can immediately see.

This Sunday Paul spoke from 1 Thessalonians 2:17 - 3:5 about living counter culturally. Through historical context from the early Thessalonian church and stories from his time in Burundi during the Rwandan genocide, we see just what community meant for the church then and why we still need it now.

Who do you live to please? This Sunday Wayne talked about how we can live a life that communicates the real faith that we looked at a couple of weeks ago.
