Jesus came to rescue us
What do you really long for? In Mark 10:35–45, James and John ask Jesus for places of honour. But Jesus flips their expectations—and ours—by showing that true greatness isn’t about power or position, but about serving others. In this talk, Wayne unpacks how our desires shape us, how Jesus reveals what’s really in our hearts, and how His sacrifice changes everything. We’re invited to lay down self and discover a life rooted in service, humility, and the security of being loved by God. ✨ “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45) Wherever you are in your faith journey, this is good news: Jesus came not to demand, but to give. Not to burden, but to free. Not to condemn, but to save. At B&A, we believe Hope is Here—in Jesus, who meets us in our longings and transforms them with His love.
