The week we continued our series on flourishing with Jesus with Matt speaking from a couple of passages in Romans.

The Christian life is about far more than just rescue or forgiveness. It is about receiving a new identity, as a child of God and an heir in God's kingdom. And the reality of that identity is not something we are waiting for but begins now.

Paul calls believers to live in a way that reflects the good news by standing firm in unity, caring for others above themselves. A life worthy of the gospel is one shaped by Christ’s self-giving love.

Where do we look for identity? Inside, out there or somewhere else?

Paul lets the church in Philippi know how he is getting on and what they learn is that a life captured by Jesus sees opportunity in every trial, courage in every witness, and peace in every outcome.

Wayne starts us in a new series centred around the person of Jesus and flourishing with Jesus. This week we are in Genesis 1:26-28 and Colossians 1:15-20, to talk about identity, the need for Jesus and the answer the the question 'who am I?'
